In Memoriam Del
Parkerson
Del Parkerson, our friend and member for
many years, passed away on
Dec 16th, 2004. Del was a
favorite at the Thurs workshop
working wonders with wire-
wrapping, and encouraging and
teaching our younger members.
Del also developed his own technique
of creating dichroic glass, and was
very active as a volunteer demonstrating
at our Annual Searchers Show.
Survived by his wife Jerry, our resident
wire-wrapping artist...
We will miss you very much, Del!

Larry is a member of the
prestigious Rockhound Hall of Fame,
and leads the Veterans lapidary
program at the
Long Beach Memorial Hospital...
Larry is an award-winning silversmith
and enjoys working fire agate!

Will enjoys slabbing and cabbing,
his
favorite stone is Pietersite,
and he's been a member for 4 years.

In Memoriam Conrad Cone
Conrad was a
Searchers member
since 1964, but sadly
passed away late in 2004...
Conrad was an
expert at intarsia (mosaic) and
has won first place awards at
several gem shows,including
the Orange County Fair!
He had just won his 20th consecutive
award for Best Show Club Case entry!
Survived by his son and student
Skip, who learned his father's
techniques in silver and inlay.
Conrad's constant enthusiasm and
help to our younger members
will never be forgotten!
