Clare Gagnon, right,
demonstrating a tricky solder technique
in his Saturday silver-smithing
class...
Saturdays from 3-7 PM you'll find
Clare teaching basic silver
fabrication techniques...including
piercing, soldering, and finishing.
Make a bezel and a ring shank
for that perfect opal cab you've
finished in the Searcher's Thurs and
Saturday gem workshop!
Clare also teaches what tools and supplies
you'll need for basic
silver jewelry making, and where to shop for great
deals! But the
real education is rubbing elbows with some great
and experienced
club members, who will share their secrets and tips with
newcomers,
who soon become friends!

Silver-smithing is just one of
our many club activities--learn to
carve and shape gemstones, join a
field trip to collect agate,
crystals, and mineral specimens in
California, or just enjoy a lecture
(such as "How to Cast Lost-wax Stones in Place") at our monthly meeting.
Trade tips and stones at
one of our silent auctions, and meet new friends
at the famous Searcher
potluck dinners! There's something for
rockhounds of all ages at
the Searchers of Anaheim!
